here it goes...

As I sit here writing my first post-I am indescribably happy. And it's not because of the snoring dog at my feet, although he might have something to do with it. The house is relatively clean, and I am sitting in my kitchen with my coffee watching the sun glitter on the snow we got at the beginning of the w6eeky tyh. (and there goes the cat across the keyboard, beautiful moment gone.) OH! I should probably mention it is school vacation week-that may have
something to do with my happiness. I have spent the week relaxing, organizing some cabinets/cleaning this house, visiting with friends and catching up on trashy tv (in the words of boyfriend Bert, "you're still watching Dog the Bounty Hunter?"Why yes, darling, I am). The week is going by nice and slow, probably because I am being so lazy.

I am going to try to use this blog as a window into my life in the sticks. Even though we have lived here for 2 years and Bert has lived in this town all his life, I am still struck with how remote our lives are sometimes. Haven't seen a car drive by yet this morning and yesterday Cooper (our resident BadBoy pooch) chased some turkeys into the woods. When he didn't come back, I was hoping for a safe and intact dog while Bert was hoping for a turkey dinner. He did come back about an hour later, with no turkey or injuries.

So today's goal is to get a little sewing done, a few more cabinets organized (that means you Tupperware!), and maybe change out of my pjs. Oh and keep BadBoy out of the neighbor's garage where they keep their dump-truck (no joke). Our neighbor's grand-dog, Leroy is BadBoy's best friend, he just doesn't know it yet.
